Take Naps. No Apologies

I fell asleep every time I tried a mindfulness exercise, so now I just take the work-day nap my body needed.

11 minutes is my sleep sweet spot--long enough to refresh, but not too long to put a crease down my cheek.

Naps have loads of physical and mental health benefits. A short nap in the mid-afternoon can boost memory, improve job performance, lift your mood, make you more alert, and ease stress. Some studies show positive impacts of napping on cardiovascular health and mental health.

Back to the office is interfering with my nap schedule, so I'm working on a new rhythm and finding breakout rooms with doors that lock.
