How to Have a Good Day On

A colleague nicely asked if I’d had a good day off. Something about that innocuous question at this time in our society made me pause. How much are we tuned in to what we need to have a good day ON? We have many more days ON than OFF, so we best get those right. Consider how we set our dials across:

  1. Thinking vs doing

  2. Team time vs alone time

  3. Talking vs listening

  4. Sitting, standing, moving

  5. Indoors vs outdoors

Here’s a depiction of my “good day on” dashboard in The Me-Suite. #1 and #5 are the hardest for me to fine-tune. What dials do you set to have a good day on? What does “a good day on” look like for you?
