What's Your Primacy in '22?

I encourage clients to look across the seven dimensions of life and determine what has primacy at this moment. The seven areas are Career, Finances, Family, Personal Growth, Relationships, Health, and Spirituality. Identify where you are versus where you want to be on each dimension. The largest gaps (your largest areas of dissatisfaction) indicate what should have primacy for you this year. Not everything can be a priority at once, so be honest and think of each dimension relative to the others.

My primacy for 2022 is health—physical and emotional. Since I just turned 55, I’m calling my primacy “55 in ‘22.”

I launched the year with:

Donna Peters 2022 Goals: 55 in ‘22

  • 55 squats at 100 pounds

  • 55 deadlifts at 185 pounds

  • 55-pound leg curls

I’ve committed to:

  • 55 miles walked/run each week

  • 55 ounces of water each day (I know you need a little more than that, but I’m keeping the bar low enough to step over it)

  • 5.5 minutes of meditation each morning (that sounds like nothing to many, but it’s a lot to me)

I’ve allocated 55-minute, pro bono, career coaching sessions to qualifying clients impacted by the pandemic.

I like to use words and visuals, so I created a 55 in ‘22 vision board of sorts. It hangs in the kitchen. I'm also the type who needs an accountability partner to meet my goals, so I write this in hopes you'll help hold me accountable during the year.

Identify your primacy for ‘22. If I can help you achieve it, it’d be an honor.
