I take breaks during a work day but am always doing something that has an outcome--going for a run, paying bills, folding laundry. I'm rarely just taking a break...until yesterday.

A friend brought her guinea pig to eat lettuces out of my garden for ~20 minutes, and it was glorious.

I came back smiling and creative as I planned a workshop for today.

That was a real break.

Maybe next up is taking day-time naps.
