Know Means No

Having a strategy means knowing what to say ‘no' to. It’s that simple.

The more you know who you are, the better you are at saying ‘no’ to the clutter that distorts your path. For example,

  • If you know your Core Values, you make better decisions.

  • If you know your priorities, you filter out distractions.

  • If you know what makes you tick, you have a chance at keeping your interests alive.

Neuroscience shows that the brain releases adverse chemical reactions when we hear the word ‘no’ when associated with negative thoughts, threats and worries. It’s also true that our brain needs a sense of being in control. Being clear on what to say ‘yes’ to means you’re postively in control of when to say ‘no.’ That’s a good thing.

Do the work to know what you want. More knowing means more no-ing.
